Welcome to the 2012 IEEE International Solid-State Circuits Conference (ISSCC). This will be the 59th anniversary of ISSCC. ISSCC is the flagship conference of the Solid-State Circuits Society, and is the premier forum for the presentation of advances in solid-state circuits and systems-on-a-chip. The Conference offers a unique opportunity to network with leading experts in the field. For 2012, the Conference theme is "Silicon Systems for Sustainability." A diverse set of exciting plenary presentations is being planned to cover this theme and other important trends. The Conference will feature more than 200 technical presentations representing benchmark results, designs in state-of-the-art processes, and circuits in emerging device technologies. ISSCC 2012 will also feature a variety of educational events (tutorials, a short course), advanced-circuit forums, and evening sessions. We will highlight systems aspects of regular-paper presentations with selected demonstrations in the Industry Demonstration Session (IDS) and the Academic Demonstration Session (ADS). As well, we will feature student work through the Student-Research Preview (SRP) which will provide an excellent opportunity for students to network and present work-in-progress. In addition SRP applicants can apply to present at ADS.
